Teaser 2880: Golfing greats
From The Sunday Times, 3rd December 2017 [link]
Following the success of this summer’s programmes about cricketing greats, there is to be an equivalent series about golfers. On each of the next seven evenings a different media pundit will advocate the merits of two golfers.
The pundits are: Coltart, Critchley, Harmon, Livingstone, Lee, Murray, Roe.
The fourteen golfers to be discussed are: Chappell, Els, Faldo, Harrington, Hogan, Mcllroy, Moore, Nicklaus, Poulter, Reed, Singh, Snead, Stenson, Woods.
Each evening, looking at the names of the pundit and the two golfers, then for any two out of the three names there are just two letters of the alphabet that occur (once or more) in both.
(a) Which golfers will Critchley advocate?
(b) Which golfers will Harmon advocate?
